Since the age of 10 I’ve always been passionate about computers. I’ve been working with them ever since. In 2005 I got my degree in computer science. I used to work at a major Belgian university where I was developing the e-learning applications. In that position, I was the one who looked after the databases. From there on I grew to be their MySQL DBA. In 2017 I left the university and joined Pythian as a MySQL Database Consultant. After 5 years in different roles varying from MySQL Consultant, Lead Consultant to Principal Consultant, I decided it was time for a new challenge. I joined the Customer Engineering team at PlanetScale where I help our enterprise type cluster to implement Vitess and PlanetScale in their environments.
